The challenge

Bookies is an online bookshop based in Lebanon. It sells books in Arabic and English, alongside notebooks, stationery, and gift packaging. It needed a store where readers could browse its books, find the title they want, and order and pay online.

What we built

We built the online store. Books sit in genres such as novels, self-help, classics, biography, and history, and readers reach a title through the search bar or the menu. Every book has its own page, with a quick view from the shop and a wishlist to save it for later.

Readers create an account to sign in and follow their orders, add books to the cart, and check out in US dollars. They pay with Whish or in cash on delivery. The menu and the book categories work on phones too. Behind the store, the Bookies team adds books, sets their prices, and handles orders from the store admin.

How it works

How a reader orders a book.

  1. Browse

    Readers open a genre from the menu or search for a title.

  2. View

    A quick view or the book's page shows its details.

  3. Add to cart

    Readers add the book to the cart, or save it to a wishlist.

  4. Check out

    Readers place the order and pay with Whish or cash on delivery.

  5. Receive

    The order reaches the Bookies team in the store admin.

Readers follow their orders from their account.
